I was waiting for this since years. Looking forward to it, i saw many videos in past days.
I wonder if this would also run under Linux, or could be made running under Linux. I no longer plan to ever buy a new Windows rig anymore, W11 is too punishing to privacy, too invasive in enforcing total dependency, and a surveillance nightmare, I do not accept that crap anymore. Once my current rig - a no-longer-updating (=blocked) W10 - dies the hardware death, then that was it for me with Microsoft. And it saves me hilarious lots of money for a VR-ready rig. Nowadays it would cost almost twice as much than the last time in 2017. The whole business model has gotten insane. But for as long as it lasts, I look forward to Sea Power. ![]()

@Skybird You can look into modified versions of Windows 11, They come without defender, Co-pilot, MS Edge and other bloatware and are really small in size like Win 11 X Lite, Ghost Spectre, Tiny 11, Reno, Atlas etc. I recommend X lite and Ghsot spectre.

Wolfpack's videos have been excellent. I too have been waiting years for this, it looks like everything I could have wanted and more (coming from a long time Fleet Command fan).

Were you a casual fan or did you spend any significant time playing it on multiplayer?

How is Sea Power in February of 2025? I'm still enjoying Sea Power, but I'm more so following along in the Discord (wait and see approach) watching the improvements roll out on the beta branch before I decide to invest much more time in to it. Which is not to be misconstrued as a complaint. I purchased this as a show of faith and support to the devs, who are awesome and very responsive, as they work toward a full release. This is very much a game in early access and if you don't have the patience for that, I'd advise folks wait a bit longer. That being said, it's a pretty awesome community on Discord and if you'd like to submit your constructive feedback and suggestions, it's a golden time to do it. |
