Been a long wait, but so far the game seems excellent. Only thing I'd wish for right now is a way to set a lighting schedule in the same way you can set a dive schedule (or for the sailors to just set night lights automatically once it gets dark/back to normal lighting in the morning).

Seen (and reported) a couple of minor bugs, but otherwise 9/10 right out the gate. Well done devs!

There is a mod called Auto sub lights. Adds two Automatic Lighting Presets: One sets the lighting to Red if it's night and normal if it's day. The other additionally sets blue lighting if below a certain depth (default 9 meters).

Congrats to the dev team on a smooth release. This is the only game I have every bought early access, and the transition was seamless.

Long time subsimmer, who like most around here, reveres SH3 and SH4. Even so, I find I prefer UBOAT for many reasons which I won't go in to now, in this thread. I really enjoy this game.

Only thing I want to mod right now is the flag on my boat. I'd like to remove it. How is this done? Can I edit a file, or install a mod? Know of any?

You can right click on the flag (side view) to remove it and you will not see it again if you want.

There are several flag mods but dont know if they are working right now. They will have to update them.

I am using a pirate flag though and it works

I made a video for those who've been off playing the game until release, or aren't aware of all the new things that were being tested in the beta version. It's not everything that's new in full release...

But it's most of it

Hope it helps.

Very comprehensive. Nice work Ram.

Thanks for the tip about removing the flag. Did it in first person and with all the time I've spent on the bridge I can't believe I hadn't seen it. Must have thought it was flak gun marker, and I never put anyone on the flak gun.

My boat looks good now.

I'm quite taken with this game. I have a thread going over at SimHQ detailing my adventures, and maybe giving some insight in to how the game plays, including images

Check it out here

Nice, i like to read those captain´s logs. I have my own but i write it in the game´s journal. I recommend to read the game´s manual (200 pages) it can solve a lot of questions.
