Default For the creators of Dark Water

A couple of days ago I downloaded Dark Waters V6 mod and I was blown away. Exactly what I was looking for. I played SH3 a long time ago, since I retired, I started playing SH4 myself. When I say that the mod is outstanding I mean the graphics and the idea, great. As far as the technical side is concerned, it's miserable.
-- you did not edit the .upcge file correctly (the number of torpedoes is 6 instead of 19 as in the .cfg file.
--map and navigation POOR. What do you think that the navigator does not mark on the map in which direction the submarine is moving. For each contact, the movement axis is also marked. The world map is a tragedy, with all those lines and stupid water colors (the deeper the water, the color should be darker, not lighter). Have any of you seen a real nautical chart?
--If you wanted the missions to be more difficult, increase the escort, air defense, etc., and not reduce the ability to fight with a submarine.

In any case, it took me 4 hours to correct the mistakes (since I like to cheat, I added a little more torpedoes and increased the speed of the submarines, so now I'm happy as a pig when it rolls in the mud).

Thanks for the great time I'm going to spend with this mod.

"Mistakes" is a rather strong term, and might be considered insulting by some folks. Most of the points you make are purposeful decisions made by the modders involved. Colors are a preference and easy enough to change on the NavMap. The VII usually carried a total of 14 torpedoes max, not 19, unless you are including external stores, which that practice was quickly stopped during the war for several reasons. Traffic was not easy to come by, unless you found a shipping lane, or had help from a wolfpack, but some of the game's patrol assignments are rather odd, and devoid of traffic... Big thing though, is a person is more than welcome to modify a mod to their hearts content, so enjoy yourself in your game, with the emphasis on the "YOUR" word.

We have a different number of torpedoes in the .sim file and the .upcge file, in my book that's a mistake. 96 hours of patrol without a single bit (a lot) being stupid. If they make mods and allow them to be added freely, let them make them properly. Not everyone has the knowledge to correct someone's mistakes, someone simply just wants to play. It's no problem to have someone test the mod and correct any mistakes.

This is not a bug, simply because it does not degrade the game in any way. Made this for simplifying the development of new boats, it is enough to set it once in the .sim file the maximum number of torpedoes so that later we can make boats with only two torpedoes and with twenty-four, while changing only one .upcge file.
Consider it a productivity or time-saving trick in mod development.

On nautical charts, the deeper the water, the lighter the color.
Accordingly, the coastal zone is conditionally dark blue, and everything else is whitish.
In various atlases and on the globe, everything is the opposite.
