So I dropped (playing as German) off some supplies at naval base davao, and now it tells me to go to grid TB69 and sink 5000 tons of shipping. I have been patrolling this grind for DAYS and all I've seen are aircraft!!!! Right now I would be happy with an enemy rowboat or ANTHING!!! Is there any way to extricate myself from this barren piece of ocean (TB69) and get on with the game???? Is there a mod like they have in SH3 that INCREASES enemy activity so that I at least have a CHANCE of seeing something I can sink and end this endless mission? HELP!!!!

Anytime you encounter a "sink" mission, you can sink ships anywhere you can find them. You are not bound to any particular area, other than the "trigger" point. In other words, you receive order such as "Proceed immediately to grid location TB69." So you go near there and then get a message "Engage and sink enemy shipping." That just means that you have to proceed to TB69 to "trigger" that start of the "sink" mission Objective. After that, go anywhere. Some mods make it 2500T, some 5000T, but most are 10000T to be sunk, which is generally 2 normal sized merchants. But you can go to the Virginia coast USA to sink ships if you want to, or start home, and sink them enroute. You do not have to stay in TB69 to do the sinking. You only have to stay within a certain distance of a location when doing a "patrol" mission.

btw, not to divulge "insider" secrets, but you can generally make up for NOT following orders just by sinking one or two ships. ie: an Objective is worth 300 points. A ship is worth 150 (DD sized small ones). Sink two of them, and Bob's your uncle. So if you encounter a "Photo Nagasaki Harbor" as a US skipper, just sink 2 or 3 ships, and ignore what Pearl said. If German, and they have you do a supply drop behind enemy lines, or you are sent from Davao Gulf to the Indian Ocean, just sink some ships instead... You will lose the points from the Objective, but nothing else.

Hi Everyone! And sorry for offtopic, I guess... But...
The issue is pretty old. Just can't man bow/stern gun after boat upgrade. Generally there's NO CREW SLOTS in crew management screen. But the Last one features having'em all right ![]() Some times Dual 5.25" Gun with 20mm mount results in manning all 4 gunners a machine gun... ![]() ![]() Or a Big Gun manned all right and the mg is working. But the one to shoot... is the Invisible Man ![]() Is there any way to fix it..? Any help appreciated. Realy! ![]() Last edited by Poprav; 08-09-24 at 10:36 AM. |

As to your questions: 1) I'm afraid it's the Sh4 Wolves of the Pacific v.1.3 with U-Boat Mission 1.5 addon. Not the Gold Edition... Thats for shure. 2) Downloaded from Cloud. Not the Steam/ Ubisoft version. Not localized. (Have a feeling that was a disc version, set up 'n' archived later). 3) Memorizing not to make a default setup in C:\Programme Files... put it in D:\ Games\... 4) Generic Mod Enabler - v2.6.0.157 [E:\Games\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\MODS] FI-OQ_FotRSU_v1.8f_upcPatch 101_FotRSUv18_FixPak.7z Nippon_Maru_v1.9b_FotRSU Nihon Kaigun v1.3a_FotRSU Combined Roster 451a_TMOstyle_NavMapDots_Nippon_Maru 451b_TMOstyle_NavMapDots_Nihon_Kaigun Full_Radio_FothRS After literally making myself re-read some support files about proper setup found my JSMGE combination a COMPLETE MESS!!! ![]() ![]() Rewrited FothRS mode over the Game Dirrectory rather than putting it into the MODS.. The hell why placed some fix_pack (archived!) into it/// ![]() No wonder there must be glitches. ![]() Eventually my younger bro helped and arranged me a Ubisoft account. Now I have the GOLD Edition.! ![]() Last edited by Poprav; 08-11-24 at 11:56 AM. |

The v1.3 with the added U-Boat Missions Add-On does make the game equivalent to v1.5 Gold Edition, though it is better to have an all-in-one such as what Ubisoft offers. The newer download versions have recently changed their licensing, and that can make some of the old copy-paste techniques invalid for the game...
As for your mod list, make it like this: 4) Generic Mod Enabler - v2.6.0.157 I'm not sure of what the "name" of the main mod is - I am not at my regular computer... ![]() 4) Generic Mod Enabler - v2.6.0.157 I am not familiar with the Full_Radio_FothRS mod, and cannot comment on it, but we (the FotRSU Team) recommend to not use any non-authorized mods. Do so at your own risk, but generally, so long as a given mod does not alter the Air, Library, Menu, Sea and Submarine files, you are usually OK to give it a go, and see what it does. The really big point (besides NOT using a Program Files folder) is to empty the old Save folder (C:\Users \UserName \Dcouments \SH4) to clear the old, pre-modded data. The game will re-create the folder, and populate it with the new settings of your mod list... ![]()

Hello,
As per my knowledge, You might want to try moving around within the grid or slightly outside of it to increase your chances of encountering enemy ships. Unfortunately, there's no specific mod like in SH3 that increases enemy activity, but adjusting your patrol routes and being patient can sometimes yield better results. I hope this will help you! |

Sorry for no reply a few days. Yeah...It's been a while. When you're somewhere in the wilderness for rafting it's not an easy way to reach the radio room every day
![]() 4) Generic Mod Enabler - v2.6.0.157 [E:\Games\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\MODS] 100_FalloftheRisingSun_Ultimate_v1.8 101_FotRSUv18_FixPak.7z Nippon_Maru_v1.9b_FotRSU Nihon Kaigun v1.3a_FotRSU Combined Roster 451a_TMOstyle_NavMapDots_Nippon_Maru 451b_TMOstyle_NavMapDots_Nihon_Kaigun So the point is: 1) Is it possible to miss the "yellow" NavMapDots mod having the Roster the last on list? Or these entries really crucial for the combination? 2) As for the Full_Radio_FothRS mod. Here's a link http://disk.yandex.ru/d/yFD98ee9NBfgAw Exclusively at your discretion. Especially when Grammaphone and Radio directories are free to anyones taste compilation. Yours thankful ![]() |

![]() The Full Radio mod should be fine. It is ~HUGE~ but looks to be rather comprehensive. I'll have to try that out myself. You do not need to use the 451 a & b mods, but they do keep the NavMap displays for the three mods above looking like the base FotRSU mod. In other words, the 451 mods add the "dots" to the NavMap in place of the box with tails artwork, as found in the Stock game. That dot display is an attempt to make it look like someone was using a pencil to make dots for contacts on the chart found on the chart table in the Command Room. Be sure to empty the Save folder (defaults to C:\Users \UserName \Documents \SH4), and to use either LAA or the 4Gig Patch to allow the game to access more system RAM. ![]()

As for the dots in 451 mods, I understand it's more realistic concerning the chart operation. But in my humble opinion its less convenient for AOB calculations. Guess it's the whole point when you want it to be true and more as in life
