Default Hooligans and other sport supporters

Day before yesterday and yesterday there was clashes between two supporter groups before the match between two local soccer team in Copenhagen, Denmark.

In a comment a person wrote something very interesting and it made me think.

Why is it that there's a lot of fighting between supporters(hooligans) in soccer, when this is absent in other sports like:

NFL, NHL, Ice hockey, Handball a.s.o.
(I can't remember having read about stone throwing and fighting NFL supporters or in NHL)

Why!? Is there a psychological answer to this ?

Edit
Forgot to mention that it's only 1 percentage or lower who can be called Hooligans. The rest of supporters behave.
End edit

Markus
