Default Life may actually flash before your eyes

Life may actually flash before your eyes on death - new study

Quote:
A team of scientists set out to measure the brainwaves of an 87-year-old patient who had developed epilepsy. But during the neurological recording, he suffered a fatal heart attack - offering an unexpected recording of a dying brain.

It revealed that in the 30 seconds before and after, the man's brainwaves followed the same patterns as dreaming or recalling memories.

It takes about 4 and 1/2 minutes after breathing and pulse stops for irreversible brain damage to start.

I'm good with all that. If my life flashes before my eyes, I just love a parade.

Recall the time they switched off the ICU equipment on my father. The doctor told me to speak because that would be the last thing my father heard.

I can not imagine how difficult that would be.

Given thirty seconds prior notice meant no time to dwell on the matter and act quickly but boy, did it hurt shortly thereafter.

They say time is a great healer but I'm not totally convinced it is.

Time heals very little. It may make things a little easier to deal with, that's all.

I wonder if that "30 seconds" is in the perception an actual lifetime, time wise?
As in it is perceived that way?
