How do I enable map contact colors and direction in GWX?

I've been playing stock SH3 to the point of it getting boring and that's when I finally decided to get the GWX mod for it. After a troublesome installation I finally got it working and decided to start a career right away. Things were going smooth until I realized that map contacts are all shown in black, and without the tail indicating direction.

I tried installing the GWX - Contact Color mod by user jimbuna and running it through JSGME, but I still see no changes to the map contacts, even after a new career. Is there a newer way to have this feature reenabled?

Hi J.v. Manteuffel try this Mod Sir Salute

just put it in your Mods Folder then activate with JSGME Click on the Yellow "G" on your desktop then move the mod to the right activated box Happy Hunting also ensure you dont have "No map contact updates in your difficulty settings checked"

Thanks a lot! Strangely I did the exact same steps before and it didn't work. I did a reinstall of the mod and tried it again and it now works, maybe I got a bad download the first time?

Hi, well I have tried everything I can find on this subject, and none of them worked

I even reinstalled the game, and still ALL GREEN CONTACTS

Iv'e just give up and play along, but i'm not enjoying it as much
