Athens also has an option to buy a fourth frigate from France. It has already ordered some 24 Dassault-made Rafale fighter jets this year, making it the first European Union country to buy the warplane.

Aesthetically these frigates don't look good but its not a beauty contest,
I am wondering how much pressure the EU put on Greece to go for these ships Overall it was probably the best option for Greece anyway to go with these ships.
