on the average merchant and decided to adjust the size of the torpedo explosives
in accordance with historical data that indicate that the German torpedo was equipped

Surprised to hear this, personally I'm experiencing the exact opposite. In my current carreer (2 patrols in 1941) I've hit a total of 12 vessels, each with 1 torpedo. Out of the 12 vessels hit 11 were sunk, an unrealistic succesrate. Vessels sunk include a 19000t liner and a 14000t troopship. Vessels of this size should require more than 1 torpedo on average to be sunk. In my experience the torpedoes in game are too powerfull. I play TWOS 2.2.24 100% realism and only use contact pistol, depth setting 2-4 meters.
