FYI, I've made significant changes for the baseline addon since the release.
Google Drive would be better to upload it to. I personally prefer my 65-76s to be non-wire guided as I haven't found a more credible source for it. DeepStorm.ru has no comment on it. There is no citation on Wikipedia's Type 65 specs either, and neither is a wire-guided 65-76 heard of on NavWeaps. This debate agrees that 65-76 is wake-homing. https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/wars...124332#p124332 Looking forward to try the campaigns especially the modern one! I gotta start adding contributors to the megapack's GitHub as well. Last edited by goldmastersims; 08-20-21 at 01:09 AM. |

yeah...not gonna lie I struggled with this one...but my argument was simply this. There's no doubt in my mind its wake homing(my version IS wake homing)_but it can be initially guided via wire. My thinking is maybe the internet simply overlooked the wire aspect and only stated it's innovative technology? I mean why would you remove the capability to discern between one ship and another? Steering the torp perpendicular to target does 2 things. One...it masks you azimuth of attack...two... It increases the chance of intercepting a wake. And since I couldn't find a definitive answer...I choose to do it the way I did. But keeping in mind I could be wrong. And if someone could prove my mistake ,I would simply change it. The debate you posted didn't really convince me as wire guidance wasn't really its topic...it was the threat of wake homing.
I'm interested as to what new changes are in the new "baseline" ? and BTW feel free to "glean" anything from the pack if you deem it worthy. It's a personnel preference thing with the hud's but I thought rusky captains would like a unique flavor for their boats(there were lots of people commenting on them when I first built them way back when...so I figured they'd want them for DOT as well. Appreciate your approval to use the materials as well. I'll probably tweak the campaigns because DotMod team's working on an Arleigh Burke model, which should fit each campaign. And 2021 campaign could potentially be enhanced with new enemy weapons like CBASS.
If 65-76 initially had a wire, there's also another game limitation that would have to be worked around. The reliable wire time in DotMod is set in config.txt and does affect every single wire-guided weapon. Another one of those problems resulting from this game being so hardcoded. |

I was wondering where that was...not sure I get what the numbers actually do?
dot mega is 1540 where Epic is 480...what do these numbers translate into behavior wise? the explanation to me in the config is kinda ambiguous. |
