One game I penetrated Gibralter's harbour but was annoyed not to find anything of value so Scapa has been kinda low on my bucket list. Best I've done is sitting outside the Straights Of Gibralter and nailed an inbound KGV.

Still Scapa remains appealing.

No, but I only tried the once, got close but hit the nets. Just after the Norway/Denmark invasion you can go into Torshavn in the Faroe Islands and there's usualy a destroyer and sometimes a Kent class cruiser docked. My favorite has to be Curacao though. Go there late Dec 41 or early 42 and there is all sorts of cargo ships docked. The sea is around 70m deep if i recall right. Good times indeed lol.

In LSH3 Campaign, June 1940, I used resupply ships to extend the range of my VII into the Meditterranean. Casablanca, largely deserted. Gibraltar, also empty. But in Oran I hit the jackpot: TWO French battleships sunk! The harbor defense was weak.
Leaving Gibraltar, I hit a mine--minimal damage, easily repaired. But is there any way to see the mines before you hit them?

oh aye, many times. Usually find a carrier or battleship in there as well as a few destroyers. Best to go in at night, from the west of the islands, through northern channel?(I think, been a long time since i did this) find a good spot and loose. There are nets around the ships so may need to find angles to miss those. Sneak out the way you came in. The channel is very shallow so have to go in above the waves.

Many moons,don,t think I hit anything but lost my sub in one of the eastern channels coming back out ,waters are shallow there ,knew nothing of nets or mines ,never been back , Maybe I will now" come to think of it !
