Attempts to launch SH5 fail

I am trying to get back into SH5 and noticed this "new" launcher thing for SH5 and it constantly fails with "A service is unavailable" and fails to launch. is there any way to bypass this to regain access to the game?

Issue resolved if you have steam and can't launch:
1) download the ubisoft connect software, click download, this will launch steam to download the game
2) allow steam to download the game
3) LAUNCH the game through ubisoft connect, this will prompt steam to launch the game
