Looking for a tutorial on how to add an AA radar gun?

Sorry for being bold. Unfortunately, I don't know much about programming.

Where can I find a tutorial on how to add an AA radar gun?
I would also like to add an AA gun to a ship that does not have artillery - I don't know how to get a crew member assigned to it.
And if there is no such guide, can someone create one?

Run through s7rikeback's Silent Hunter Mod Collection, especially the "Documents" folder. Seems to me that there are several little snippets from ETR3(SS) and CapnScurvy that fall into that ballpark...
