Is there any solution for Silent Hunter 4 in 32:9 aspect ratio?

Like the title says, is it possible somehow to get Silent Hunter 4 running in ultrawide resolution (5120x1440 in my case)?
At the moment i'm only able to play it in 2560x1440 with two black squares left and right on my monitor.
Tried to launch it today in 5120x1440 with miltiple nVidia scale settings, game seems to work just fine but the upper and lower parts of the picture are off screen and the whole picture is shifted to the left (see screenshot of the "Quick Mission" menu)
