Hello everyone! I just signed up so I thought I'd drop in here and briefly introduce myself:

I've been interested in submarines and naval history in general ever since I read my first Clancy novel (The Hunt for Red October) nearly 30 years ago, and I thank my lucky stars that I'm living in a time where we have access to some pretty great sub sims!

I live in the mountains, and even though I think this part of the country is one of the most beautiful places in the world I do find myself missing the sea sometimes. I served in the Navy for just under 10 years (not the submarine service), and in that time my appreciation for all things nautical was bolstered quite a bit - so playing naval sims is a form of sweet nostalgia for me in addition to just being plain fun!

In any case, I'm happy to be here and I look forward to being a part of this community!
