Hi all,
there is a mod that avoid submarine dance and force noisemakers to be a real bait for torpedoes? I would something that allow to drop a bait then turn off engines and become invisible. In CW even with baits and engines off you are even visible like AI knows ever where you are. I really don't like this aspect. Thanks all |

A decoy and a sufficiently quiet sub like a Seawolf or Narwahl can sometimes pull this off. The AI triangulates your position based on information it has, which is limited. You can hide from the AI, it's just very hard. Some escorts have very good sonar, such as the Udaloy. Cold Waters rewards aggressive players, perhaps a bit too much. I find my best tactic is to sink all the escorts, then attack the merchants. Very much unlike playing something like Silent Hunter, where that tactic will get you killed easily. |
