NYGM and ARB wide gui

I'm getting ready to install NYGM and I want to use the ARB wide gui final version w/o tycho patch with it. I can't get the tycho patch version to work on my system. I'm happy with the 'final' version. I've read that there's 'extra files' required.

What are the extra files?

Did you install H.Sies patch correctly before using the Tycho patch (the one that comes with the ARB mod)?
