How to use the Red Pencil

Any threads or notes on how to use the red pencils in the map.
Supposedly I can control my other allied forces.

Hello,
Just to add to this, I did find that you could use the red pencil on airfields to call out a spotter plane. Thats all I could find though.

it only works if you are playing the German side of SH4.

it is non-functional when playing the US side.
