Bad sun

Is there a mod available that improves the very bad sun in this game?
I'm looking for something more realistic like this from another of my favourite games, IL2 1946 :-

Instead of this rather dim pathetic sun in SH3:-

Anyway, found through a lot of trawling the internet that it's a known problem called 'Flat sun'.

It seems to be a problem with nVidia Cards and SH3.
