Hi,
I think it would be good if it’s possible for the host to add a message to joiners to an ongoing game. So that when someone is joining the after the game has started they see an “Instruction from the host:”. The same message is also shown to those joining from the start. The host could write something like this: “1 Present yourself via voice when joining (we are on channel x, state your role. 2 Fill existing submarines before starting new ones. 3 If you start a new submarine, first send a message with your position. Host is the Wolfpack leader, follow his instructions. Etc” This cannot be changed after the game is started, so should be considered “instructions from earlier, before leaving port”. It can be especially useful for initial instructions to other submarines. If a joiner does not follow these rules, he will be kicked. The message box can include any text, which makes it very versatile and players will develop relevant messages to put there over time. It can work as an open rule box for the game. |
