Howdy all at Subsim! Silent Hunter series question!

Howdy folks! My name is Scoryth, The Crimson Renegade. I was seriously considering getting into the Silent Hunter series, and also thought it'd be good content for my YT channel as well. But, I'm really not sure which SH I should play. On Steam I see a lot of positive feedback regarding SH3 and lots of negative with others (specifically 4 & 5). So, I thought I'd find a nice forum that is dedicated to this type of game (like Subsim is) and ask that opinion here! So...what's your opinion on the best SH game? Thanks!
