The feeling of splashing without water droplets

I watched the UBOAT trailer video, feeling the splash of the bow and the explosion of the deep water bomb, the lack of water droplets, the fog and the water droplets should be correct.
Hope to improve

You’re right, it almost looks like white powder, not water.
But what do you mean...you hope they improve it...or you hope you can improve (mod) it yourself?

Photo or video reference would be most welcome.

You will be able to mod these effects yourself, if you won't be happy with the end effect. I will do my best to prepare a basic guide to modding our game.

A real-life torpedo hit....this one appears to explode just below the keel:

Note the different colours of the column of water after the explosion, it’s not just white (and there’s even some debris in it).
Imo, this is an important detail, as a glorious full hit is what every kaleun wants to see in the end.
Same for the bow wave and the wake behind the boat - and every ship in the game, to be honest - we will be staring at it allot.

We already have new torpedo explosions in the game

They have much more details included, like those that you described in your post. We will soon see, if the beta testers will like them. We were loosely basing on the same video that you suggested as reference.

Bow splashes and depth charge explosions mentioned by @W_clear are still left untouched though. I hope to upgrade them soon and any advice is most welcome.

did the torpedoes in WW2 have the same power? The modern torps are different for sure.
