Wolves of steel 2.2.8 crashes after few loads

I play Wolves of steel with campain progress verifier, that's why every time it says 'failed to advance' I must load the game again. Everything was good for one in-game month. It is october 5 1939, and after Scapa flow attack after the second loading game crashes on desktop without any error nor warning. I think, that is because the save is too big (15.4 mb) and game fails to load it. Please tell me, how to investigate it or give game more resources

When you saved the game where there damaged ships in the neighbourhood?
This will also cause a ctd.

Campaign advance verifier is only needed when moving from one campaign to the next example like (Total Germany to Happy Times) not every time you load a game save.
