Human heart found on Southwest flight, causing plane to turn around --
https://www.usatoday.com/story/trave...le/2298616002/ I always thought human organs for transplant were transported by special means and are always accompanied by an escort person... ![]() <O>

Anytime I had transported organs for transplant, there was some guy riding with it. But I can see putting the cooler on the plane, with the intention of having it picked up at the destination. I mean, it's not going anywhere, they aren't going to open it, there is nothing for an attendant to actively do with the cooler aside from watch it sit.
But reading the article, sounds like SW really screwed up. Might have even gone to the wrong city. No local hospital knew about the heart? Who found a heart in the cargo hold while they were in the air? Lots of questions here.... |
