I've been playing a good deal of SH4 recently, and I have a serious problem with manual targeting. Whenever I started a patrol and conducted an attack, any torpedoes I fired would follow the gyroangle that the TDC had set (as represented by the black line on the Attack Map). However, if I save and then quit or CTD, whenver I reload the patrol and happen to encounter a ship, the gyroangle doesn't work properly. The black line appears, but whenever I fire torpedoes, they all go off at a 45 degree angle to the left, rather than on the gyroangle that the TDC has calculated. At the moment, I'm using TMO 2.5 with correspoding RSRDC, OTC, Raille's Mod Pack 2.0, and the Real Uniform Mod. What's going on here?
