After completing Happy times (Base was Lorient) I start Western Approaches but base has moved back to Kiel, so a long journey through Kiel Canal.

I accepted a new boat type V11c, is this why I am based in Kiel again?

Also when in mid Atlantic patrol and Torps gone will I have access at French port ie Lorient again for re supply/refit

Yes to second question. You can reload in any blue port, normally.
First question i don’t know, but someone will certainly help you

When Happy Times starts it takes 15 days until Lorient becomes a friendly port. That's why you are not starting there.
In the stickies there is a time table for the entire campaign (or go look at the mod thread Open Horizons II where Trevally did publish it the first time).

The 2 bases for Happy Times are Wilhelmshaven and Lorient, Kiel is not a base port for this Campaign.

After completing Happy times (Base was Lorient)

No you have not completed it you have only completed the 1st Mission "Atlantic Air Gap"

"Happy Times" is a Campaign which contains 3 missions,

1 > Atlantic Air Gap
2 > Western Approaches
3 > Strageic Supplies

Always make sure you do a manual bunker save before starting a new mission/patrol.

In circumstances where you are in the wrong port or for example you wanted to move from Wilhelmshaven to Lorient then just end the patrol in the bunker and the starting date will have advanced when you start the next mission/patrol and you will change bases if the date has advanced enough to make it happen.
Repeating the process will advance the starting date each time.

The fact you are in Kilel unless I am mistaken something has gone wrong with your game.
I say this because you already have mentioned that you must have completed the first Mission.
Your boat should be a VIIB not VIIC.
IIRC VIIC do not appear until the next Campaign "Mare Nostrum" in 1941

All seems to be OK now that i did the V11c training trails mission. My base is now St.Nazier. Glad I didn't delete my old bunker save !

When mouse hovers over my boat it tells me I have V11c
But according to KSD Commander I upgraded to V11b

(hope this is ok Peter) if not then I guess alls not well with my install

Hi Nidge
Boat upgrades are done in one of two ways.
Automatic boat upgrade depending on Campaign and Base.
Optional upgrade where you are asked if you wish to upgrade.
The picture shows I have accepted the upgrade and is confirmed in this picture.


The fact that you have the wrong boat in the wrong campaign is a bit puzzling!
Make sure you do a manual bunker game save before starting each new mission/patrol.
