Silent Hunter III, get togethers

I remember a few years back there use to be SubSim or SHIII conventions or gatherings. I'm assuming that these don't happen anymore. I think it would be cool to be able to connect up with local players on a Saturday or Sunday, have a few beers and get to meet each other and discuss SHIII stuff. You know mods, tactics, manual targeting, well, you know, or anything else that comes up. Nothing big. I live in the Baltimore Md. (CA45) area and would be interested in meeting fellow local commanders.
