One of great TV actors now gone, I will remember him playing Twiggy Rathbone and the outrages Russel Spam from the funny comedy series Hot Metal.

Thank you Robert Hardy, you gave me a dam good laugh for your double role.

One of my all-time favourite series. Without Hardy blowing life into the character of Siegfried Farnon, it would have been just two thirds of the fun (them all three men were so damn well-casted for their parts).

Here's another of Robert, that many does not know-He was an expert on ancient weapons.

Have seen him in some episode of "Ancient Discoveries" Where they take some ancient weapon, such as the Longbow and other old weapon that was used in Old England.

A great actor... should've been in more really big movies. He might have been a good alternative to Peter Cushing in 'Star Wars', for example

When the submarine, in the North Pacific, was flooding, one of the crew asked Hardy's character

"Have you ever felt anything this cold?" Hardy replied "Yes... Brighton in August."
