Aircraft with unlimited fuel - unable to get away - ever

1968 campaign, kill the surface force. Early Sturgeon.
Managed to kill 2 of 3 ships including the Kresta (mission success).
Got absolutely hammered, hull at 3%, flooding in all compartments, had to keep between 200 and 50 feet using mad balancing act between planes and ballast.
Got far enough away to surface to take care of flooding.
Chopper finds me. Cant torp me as he already tried that earlier in game and ran out.
But now I cant escape him. Surfaced or at 50 feet he just keeps up with me, forever. All I can do is abandon ship.

Other than that it was a success.
