Default New to SH4, Looking For End All Mod List

Hi guys,

There's an incredible amount of information on these forums and I've been browsing through the mod page but there's just so many of them. I keep seeing warnings to install them in the right order and to not mix certain ones with others and I don't want to mess up my game file.

Can a kind person give me a list of what they'd consider to be The List of mods a new player should download immediately? Anything that makes the graphics better, the sound better, the environments, all the good stuff.

Thanks guys

The GFO mega mod is ideal for the beginner and very enjoyable to play.

Ok, I have moved the folder out of Steam into a different folder and renamed it.

I have several of the beginner recommended mods downloaded already but I'm not sure how to implement them. Currently they're unzipped and sitting in the SH4 folder with the rest of the files.

I keep seeing people referencing JGSME as the mod coordination software but I'm having a hard time figuring out where to download that.

Do you mind advising me on how to proceed?

Absolutely agree with THEBERBSTER. Start out with GFO because the other mods tend to be difficulty mods. Real Fleet Boat would also not be a difficulty mod, but the other mods, TMO and FOTRSU are definitely difficulty mods not necessarily appropriate while learning the game.
