Default Sub Marker On Map Is Just A Plain Circle

S.O.S.

My Nav Map has lost the hash mark or tail to the sub marker icon. My sub location is just a plain circle. (except when in extreme magnification, then it is a small sub silhouette)

This is okay when I'm following a path but when I'm freely navigating, it would be nice to know at a glance which direction I'm facing.

After all my complaining and ballyhoo, I've reverted back to TMO and am in version 2.5

Anybody run into this before?

I'm not sure if these are the correct DDS files you are looking for but you can have a look for nothing, they are in here.
Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Menu\Gui\Units

UnitSub
UnitSubL
UnitSubM

If they are the ones you are looking for you can uninstall TMO and delete the 3 files from TMO, then reinstall again.

Hmmm.

That didn't do it.

I've unitstalled and reinstalled SH4 Gold Edition. When I ran it without any mods, the map icon was fine.

After adding TMO 2.5 with JSGME, the hash disappeared and my icon was just a circle again.

Thanks for trying to straighten me out.

Gotta get some sleep. Will poke around some more tomorrow.

In the documentation for TMO, toward the end, is instructions to get the tails back. I'm not sure off the top of my head how to do it.

Yep, That's got it!

For others who may search in the future, here is the info from the TMO pdf:

"4.) How do i cheat bigtime, and get back "tails" and sensor information on the navigation map?

Disable TMO, and delete the following two files:

\Data\Menu\gui\ContLine.dds
\Data\Menu\gui\DashLine.dds "

Thank you, sir! S!
