Default White car or Black car

A car accident happens but who is in the wrong, I've been down here a few times and some of the lane markings are incorrect, I say its the white car, what do you think?.

I'm with Jim on this one. It looks to me that the lanes are clearly marked. Even if the marking is incorrect, it's up to the one changing lanes to do it safely. The white car clearly changed lanes.

The white vehicle committed a multi-lane 'drift' to avoid both left-ramp lanes and with no signal: so two moving violations in California. Unsafe lane change. It was very dangerous to even attempt one lane to the white car's 'blind side'. Moreover such a maneuver, with the two-lane attempted change without a signal may also be considered 'aggressive driving'.
Quote:
Unlike many other states, California’s aggressive driving law does make aggressive driving a criminal offense. In California aggressive driving is treated as an automobile crime. This means that aggressive driving charges may lead to criminal penalties and can potentially remain permanently on one’s criminal record.
When determining whether a person was driving aggressively or not, California courts will consider several factors, such as:
  • The speed that the driver was traveling at
  • Whether the driver’s actions endangered other drivers
  • Dangerous maneuvers such as swerving or tailgating
In California, aggressive driving is initially considered to be a misdemeanor crime. According to California vehicle codes, being convicted of aggressive driving will result in the following penalties:
  • Imprisonment for up to 90 days
  • A fine of up to $1,000
  • Possible increases in automobile insurance rates, depending on the degree of the conviction
  • Other consequences such as loss of driving privileges and/or having one’s vehicle impounded
Seeing the video: I'd pursue the improper lane-change infraction and the aggressive driving misdemeanor because of 2 lanes recklessly attempted - two separate violations. But I would not consider the more serious 'extreme "agressive driving"... an intentional felony as the car is a then considered a deadly weapon: Fines not to exceed $10,000; Incarceration in a prison facility for up to 4 years. This was just stupid commute stuff.

All I could see was a woman driver in the white car barging into the black car

The white car came up from behind, had a clear view of the car ahead on its right and swerved into it anyway. Intentional? Stupid? Momentary loss of concentration? Can't tell, but the black car never left its own lane. The white car did all the hitting.

I've watched the video a dozen times since reading this comment, and I still can't see either driver. Are we showing a bias or just trying to stir up trouble?

I agree with everyone else. The black car never deviated from it's travel lanes but the white car veered right, into the black car. Jim and fireftr18 got it 100% right in my opinion.

The white car that blew through the red light swerved around me and tucked back in clipping the edge of my front bumper is the guilty party tonight. Too bad he just kept going, and too bad I didn't install that dash cam when I bought it months ago. Sounded like he got the worst of it. He even hit me on a spot that was damaged already, missed my chance to maybe get it fixed for free. Oh well.
