Default MissionEditor Help

I created a mission where my submarine has to escort a convoy from New York to Plymouth. Wanted to have a chance to take on some U-Boats with a US Sub. However, keeps crashing before I can load it. Mission validation cleared it so what's the glitch?

The Mission Editor can be finicky, and at the same time, too forgiving of some actions. Do you have any mods installed? Did you create the mission with those mods installed (or not)? If you have a stock game, or you made the mission in the Mission Editor with the same mod installed while building it, then there is something not getting called correctly to cause the CTD. Are you sure the mod you're using is fully activated?

Default Mods

I have two mods running, skin camo for the sub and RadioStationManager Mod.

I made another mission in the editor before this and it's working fine.

In this mission, I have a lot of U-Boats as enemies and I have to cross the the North Atlantic. Is it possible the game can't handle the number of submarines?
Perhaps it's the size of the map?

the map size shouldn't matter. How many submarines are you talking? I'm not sure if they're as resource hungry as airplanes or not, but I've had swarms of planes overhead (probably on the order of 2 dozen... ) in some battle scenes, and do notice a slowdown, but no CTD. You choose the mission from the menu, and does it get to the background saying (which I can't remember the stock one), or do you just go to black, and it never comes back, but just crashes, and you get the "Silent Hunter has stopped..." kind of error message?

Got it to work. I just had it to "go to base." It didn't like that some I added some map zones in between and it worked.

Was thinking of creating "Save the USS Chicago" mission. She was attacked by 40 Betty's and dive bombers. Think the game can handle that?
