Returning to SH4 after a long break involving SH3 and WIPAE. Always have used manual targeting and in SH3 used the O'Kane method pretty much as my default. My problem is that when I set my periscope to the shoot angle say 350 degrees for a target travelling from port to startboard, when I hit the send to TDC button the bearing does not change. I've been searching the forums for last three hours and have come up with nothing so any assistance/advice would be gratefully received.
Modwise I am using TMO 2.5 though I doubt that's the issue. |

Hi T
Your 350 degrees is 90 less 10 degrees AOB 80 degrees. When you send data to the TDC press the send button 2 times. With a 90 degree fast shoot take up a position at around 1000 yards or less. You will notice when you pull down the range fully it goes to 1241 yards in the TDC. All you need to do is set up the periscope bearing depending which way the target is approaching at 350/10 345/15 and set the AOB accordingly 80 or 75 degrees port or starboard. You must have the tube doors open Q Key or you will miss. It is essential to have the correct targets speed for a fast shoot to work. Peter

DOH!!
Sorry senior moment, found the send bearing to TDC button. Somewhat embarrassed, time to retire to my cabin for a lie down, I'm sure my XO was smirking. |
