Buying SH5: Where from?

I have not played SH3 for a while, but played it far too much in the day.

I tried SH5 when it first came out but like many gave up, but now I am wanting to give it another try.

I know that to get it useab!e lots of Mods are needs so buying from Steam is out. But I have looked around, in the UK, and the DVD version is like searching for rocking horse manure or wildly over priced.

Do any of the download routes work from a modding POV? Amazon? Uplay?

Here you go. Gold Edition for $11.95AUD, couldn't change the currency but that's about as cheap as it gets anywhere else.

As far as I know, modding should be fine for gamersgate, Amazon & Uplay. I've heard difficulties all across the games from steam.

I got my copy from gamersgate, and modding is absolutely fine with it. It's only the steam version that requires some "special attention" afaik.

I'm running TWOS with no problems at all
