While I have found the files and I can edit them...
Every time I try to open any file that is an "interior" texture, that is, either the control room, or the conning tower, I get a texture that looks like you are viewing the (faint) texture with an alpha mask overlay on top of it. Which may not make any sense.... I can see the faint hint of a picture "behind" the light and dark gray checkerboard pattern that represents the alpha mask. If I 'hide' the alpha mask, I can't see the texture to edit. I'm using gimp 2.8, so I'm not sure if it is the .dds plug-in, or perhaps something else. I CAN view any and all other textures without trouble, submarine hulls, ships, planes, trees, dock crew, etc. all show up as they should in GIMP, the Control Room and Conning Tower do not.... Any ideas? Is there something specific to SH4 that I need to account for when I import the textures? Barracuda |

I never was able to get the DDS plugin for PSP-7 to work at all, so I use a little freeware program called DXTBmp;
http://www.mwgfx.co.uk/ Set it up to use your preferred image editor, then you can edit the alpha and the main image separately. Even works with Windows Paint. |
