Problem with underwater fog - mod MEP v. 5.0

Hello!

I have a little problem with displaying underwater fog in SH3 when I installed MEP v. 5.0 mod. The same problem had one of the forum members - TOY, so I just paste the link where he explained his (and also my) problem :

Creator of this mod (very good mod by the way) suggests changing some parameters in scene.dat file but there is another problem: how to open this file? When i open scene.dat with any text editor i get strange symbols.
