Hey all
I'm probably grasping at straws here but having time compression drop to 1 constantly on approach of, lets say for example, Midway, where you encounter tons of friendly traffic is starting to annoy me in SH IV. Using TDW's fantastic UI mod in SH V you can set friendly contacts to be ignored, thus TC carries on at what you've set it to without interruptions. Is there anything out there which does the same for SH IV? TIA |

Ok so that's a no then. I'm just finding it rather annoying on the way back to Pearl via Midway, every second or so I'm dropped to TC 1 because there's a friendly contact about.

Turning off your radar will help a bit.

How do you change this in the game and can you change it at sea or in port only without messing up a save?
The reason I ask is that my TC drops to 8 when I get an SJ radar contact which means I don't hear the audio message. This is important to me because I often do some work while I am sailing around at 32x TC and when it drops to 8 I can miss the contact completely if I am not watching. SD radar contacts are fine, the game drops to 1x TC and I hear the radarman announce the contact which gets my attention. Thanks in advance |

You can change the settings in this folder: Data, Cfg, Main.cfg. Open Main.cfg with Word Pad, change the numbers, then save. You'll have to do it in port. Don't forget to inactive the mod you're changing in JSGME before you make the changes.
