I don't know if i got your question right but, if by plot course you mean plot the path that your sub should follow to accomplish the patrol, then with real navigation there is no such thing. You have to do everything manually, so draw the path that you want to follow, estimate time of arrival at each "checkpoint" and manually change course according to your calculated ToA. I know it is kind boring because real navigation, sometimes, let you feel like you have to babysit everything in the game.

This is the only reason why I'm not entirely positive with having Real Navigation enabled. I want to keep it as realistic as possible, but that also mean that I should be able to tell the navigator to follow a specific set of waypoints etc. Would be awesome if the Real Navigation mod could be expanded into allowing for this as well. Maybe it will happen in the future.

Hi DR
Use the ruler on the navigation map to plot your course.
You set your compass to that bearing.
Your navigator will plot your position on the map at regular intervals.
You can use the navigator icon to update your position earlier when needed.
You then re-adjust your position again if necessary.
