Default Judging Range

Silent Hunter 5 - With WOS Mega Mod

I can't find the stadimeter.
But there should be a way to arrive at the range using a few calculations. It would be just a little more fun to determine the range by hand.

Can anyone explain a method for determining range using the graduations on the optics. They are all different. Are they all degrees? Or Mills. I found a but the optics must be vanilla (1x power)

UZO Station 7x
Attack Periscope 1.5 x
Attack Periscope 6 x
Observation Periscope 1.5 x
Observations Periscope 6x
There are no graduations on the binoculars

All of these images are from the same distance using different views.

the stadimeter is on the top right corner of the screen.....to use the stadimeter u need to have checked manual targeting from the game play menu...if u don't play with manual targeting then u can not use the stadimeter.....

Thanks Sjizzel,

I looked all over for the button for the stadimeter. Appreciate the input. Perhaps I should review a more detailed reference (there must be lots of other things I'm missing).

I would still like to figure out how to use the graduations on the optics. If I know what the increments are I might be able to determine a formula. Are they Mils, degrees or just a nice visual addition.

Default Need help

Well thanks to Sjizzle I've located the Stadimeter button (above the range dial).

But I click on it and nothing happens. Is there more to know? Do I use some other keys after I click on the button?

Hope someone can help. Without range the calculations are tough.
