Default Wide screen adjustment

Am returning after a long absence. Now have a widescreen monitor (and new faster rig). Am wondering what adjustments can be made to give a less distorted image on the wide screen? This may have already been mentioned elsewhere - my bad for not finding, But...guidance?

The popular resolution for widescreen monitor's is 1920x1080.
You will find most gui mods are modded for this resolution.
I have SH3-4-5 all running with no problems and did not need to make any adjustments.
