After using the V16 patch and going from 21% down to 17, then it tells me not enough o2 usings sub oxygen systems or something, my c02 level starts to rise, right, only it never goes back down even after surfacing, this stinks because I can only stay down for a short period of time otherwise I risk the C02 gauge going up and never going back down again.

I did install the 02 gauge and kind have answered my question.
That said, I feel its way too short! couldn't these subs stay down longer then a simple 8 hours? |

The way it works is that if you have to stay down for a long time, you could use the air in the tanks to fill the boat. But that is a bottled air, you're u just can't fill that up out in the ocean. So if you do dive, do it tactically and sparingly. Plan your attack!

yes thanks I figured that out, but I'm still gonna state that 8 hours seems like a short time for a sub to be under, I thought they could have more air then that

The O2 and CO2 not resetting is an old bug. The only thing I know of is to save the game and restart. The settings will be restored to where they should be.
And yes, you should be able to stay submerged for 24 hours at least.

ok so the the V16 has a patch that fixes the O2 to be more accurate, the C02 gauge is replaced by an O2 gauge. They will use the O2 from tanks to replenish the sub, but the issue is I cannot stay under for more then 6 hours without my officer dude telling me we're out of oxygen
6 hours is way too short, something is wrong! |

![]() Hi,
@Sailor Steve: I know that in SH4 there is a bug with the CO2 dial, but I have never seen such an issue in SH3. @fastfed: There is a lengthy discussion of this issue in the original thread by H.Sie. I also recommend to read H.Sie's readme. The duration depends on the crew size and also on the status of the boat. For the max. duration you should rig for silent-running (no repairs and no reloading). If you don't like the numbers, just adjust them to your likings via the Options Selector. Regards, LGN1 |
