Being curious about the inner workings of torpedo targeting, I stumbled on this interesting bit explaining the math problem.

Further down the page (in response to feedback) is this link with the basis for a working model of a TDC.

With a reference to an old Navy TDC manual.

Hopefully this wasn't posted before!
