Destroying land Targets

I was Wondering is it possible to destroy land targets? I know I can't do that with a submarine, however can I do that with a Surface ship such as a cruiser or a Battleship? if I want to attack a harbor with a surface ship could I do that?

no, although it seems someone made a mod where a few land objects can be destroyed.

If I'm not mistaken, it seems that the Traveler Mod had some missions were a submariner could destory land targets like fuel tanks. And think it was at Wake Island.

Now that I think of it, I had a mission with Traveler's mod that had me shell some fuel storage once. Never did do it, since I felt it suicide, but I do remember getting that objective.
