A quick intro (if nobody minds)
Pardon the new guy, but I just wanted to take a second to introduce myself: probably for the best you guys know what you just let on here, lol.
I have to admit I've known about this place for some time, but haven't had any reason to join really. Well, I finally got off my lazy transom (pardon the horrible analogy...but get used to them, they're more common that dud Mk14s in '42 with me...) and got Silent Hunter 4...a game Ive wanted ever since it came out in '07...and I suppose that's as good a reason as any to finally join the ranks here! I've always been a bit of a history Nerd, so if I go off on a tangent, feel free to shout at me. Also, do us all a favor and don't let me anywhere near the helm whilst unattended. At least, that is, if you want the boat back in the same shape is was when you left it! If anybody need me, I'll be aboard U.S.S. Lionfish, probably chasing after my version of the white whale...a certain 60,000+ton battleship. also, if you don't hear from me for a while, Alert the Falcon: I've probably steamed face first in to a sandbar or something. (should probably warn you about the bad jokes too...) |
