Hello!
I have trouble with running SH3 recently... Was in the middle of the 15th patrol, minimized the game and went to sleep (didn't save and exited, because sometimes loading previuos save - crashes the game for me). As soon as i minimzed, pop-up screen was there with some AMD Catalyst Control Center update requirement. I accepted and hit the bed. Tommorow i continued my patrol (but i noticed that game is running somewhat 'rough', specialy if TC is increased), returned to port and finished patrol. Exited the game -> complete PC freezes :/. Made a hard restart, started the game via SH commander as always. First thing i noticed was windowed screen. Ok, i corrected that via game options and restarted the game as required. After i loaded patrol, i started with black screen - game is paused x0, and can't do anything to change it. I only have side controls and 6 crew icons visible - but that is it. I did try single missions - same, and even the museum won't show the ships. Just black screen, but sound is working. So, i assume that something went wrong after AMD Catalyst update... I tried to restore AMD C default settings, but it didn't help. Anyone had same issues? Or maybe know how to fix this problem? Game is unplayable at the moment, and i really don't want to play anything else aside this beautiful game ![]() Thanks!

Its a corrupt careers folder. Happens all the time when sh3 causes the computer to be unstable followed by a freeze, ctd and/or blue screen. If you have an advanced career then copy the main.cfg file in the game files directory into mydocuments/SH3/data/cfg. The other fix is to manually delete the SH3 career folder and let the game make a new career folder on restart, however you will lose all of your progress. It can easily be fixed so dont worry. The cause of the unstable computer must be ascertained as quickly as possible to prevent any more freezes/crashes. Post your system spec to us

Game is now running normaly after i deleted Carrers folder from my documents.
