Top o' the...well evening. Straight noob here, kind of stumbled into Silent Hunter 3 on Steam the other day and already have about 30 hours in it and then stumbled here trying to figure out how to actually control the sub. Probably the best and most informative forum for any game that I've seen and that makes me super happy. Thank you to everyone, the modders, those who put the manuals together, all of you. I went from crashing into docks in port and barely even firing a torpedo to just sinking my first capital ship about an hour ago. Still trying to get down manual aiming, but loving the challenge. Anyway, I'm rambling. I wanted to introduce myself. Obviously, I'm CplBilney, a medically retired veteran, part-time furniture maker, huge gamer, mostly into grand strategy and most types of simulation. Current favorites are SH3, Hearts of Iron II, Empire Total War, and Prison Architect which is addicting and I highly recommend. Look forward to learning from you veterans out there. Happy hunting.
