radar North Cape: Convoy Battles in the Arctic, 1942-45

This game, produced by Strategy and Tactics Press. Has anyone played it? Considering buying it. I'm sure it would be possible to play long distance via this forum... Could be great!

With a playing time listed as minutes, I wonder how in depth this can be?

Awesome concept. I too would be very interested if anyone actually has it.

From S&T website

"North Cape: Convoy Battles in the Arctic, 1942-45 is a simulation of the convoy battles fought in the Barents Sea during World War Two. The game is played in several scenarios, each of which simulates one of the historical convoy battles in the Arctic. Each side must attempt to find and locate enemy positions and complete their missions. The objective in the game for the German player is to sink the largest number of enemy merchant ships possible. For the Allied player, the objective of the game is to bring the greatest number of merchant ships to the Soviet Union."
Components: One 22" x 34" map & 280 counters

It is the game for their magazine's current edition, not any review out on it yet. I'll keep an eye on it. With 280 counters it can't be too simple. I'll probably eventually pick it up and when I do I'll give it a play through and tell here my opinion.

Default Another title

Avalanche Press made "Arctic Convoy" on the same topic, which I own. This is a boxed game and well worth playing. There is another, PQ-17, which is the topic using blocks instead of counters. The game is good, if you can get past the blocks.

Default Distance play

Sorry, I didn't get back to you earlier.

I would not have the time to devote to playing with you. Regrets.
