SH5 steam version. Campaign seems stuck

Hey everyone,

Geez how life flys by. Last time I was here was in 2013. Family stuff I guess. Anyway, I need some help I have read and re-read everything I can find on the Silent Hunter 5 game about the campaign. I was finally able to fill the Coastal Waters part of the campaign. I was able to fill maybe a quarter of the campaign part west of the British Isles. The one where you need 100,000 tonnes. I have sunk over 195,000 tonnes of ships. So, my question is why? The reason I quit playing SH5 was this very reason. I was hoping maybe I could find a fix. So, here are my mods: NONE

I maybe missing something for the patrols, I am sinking ships inside grey circle. I usually get a completed patrol message after sinking a merchant or 2 in my patrol area (yellow sub symbol) the tonnage bar just never moves. And my orders are to continue to patrol or return to base.I know the game is bugged and such per say.

It is completely annoying that I have tried and tried. I have started from the tutorial and it locks out the bar sooner or later. Something like not syncing properly to Uplay. I do not truly understand the save this that part I read about.

Would clearing out every saved game and starting over make a difference?
Would just playing microsoft solitare be a better fix? LOL

Are there any mods that correct this problem? I have some mods but none are installed at the moment. Anyone seen my hammer?

If you are playing stock/vanilla which is without mods and you do not have TDW's Generic File Patcher then you will have a lot of bugs that will mess with your game play.
