Default HELP...GWX English labels

Sorry to ask but I have been thru the manual, searched thru the Forum, and poked around thru the game files on my own.
I know there is a way to change the labels on the dials in the TDC and on the Periscope display to be in English instead of German. I remember reading it somewhere years ago but I cannot find it now.
I am finally trying to learn how to set up shots manually and having to try to interpret the TDC when that FAT tanker is slipping away is frustrating. I know I should not give in to non-realism but I am weak. HELP ME.
Thanks......

By the way I am running GWX 3.0 Gold and have removed ALL mods.

Yes......Thank you for that but I have already set all those options to English only and I still have German labels. I remember that there is a file or a line in a data file that is supposed to be changed but it has been some years and my memory may not be correct....That seems to be happening more and more these days.
Any other ideas???
Thanks....

This might help.
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...do=file&id=737

It is a mod that changes the English labels to German. I know that's the opposite from what you want but in the script below the mod description is an exact list of what is changed in the en_menu.txt file. This is found in the Menu folder. You might also take a look at the two language files (en_menu.txt and de_menu.txt and see if the wrong one is being read, or if en_menu.txt has somehow been replaced with German text. If the former then it's easy enough to replace it. If the latter then you can easily copy and paste all the lines presented with the download and change it yourself.

I would also check the main.cfg files in both My Documents\SH3\etc
and data\cfg.
They should read TextsLanguage=0

Thank You Sailor Steve
That was it. Apparently one of the mods changed the en_menu.txt file. I used the link you provided to go thru and type in the English words. The file had been only partially modified since there were many English words & labels left as is.
The file I remember was a copy of the unmodified en_menu.txt that you could download & copy into place if your original got gaked.
Thanks again...You guys rock!!

I always have a fresh, unmodified install (stored on a DVD) to help me when I screw-up a file which I do with a great degree of regularity.
My foreign language skills are poor as is the case with most Americans, so after I learned the game I played it in German and then in French.
Sad to say, I still have poor language skills.
